Friends of Bayou St. John’s mission is to promote the preservation of a healthy, sustainable Bayou St John for all, through ecological, cultural and community-based programming.

Bayou St. John connects many communities in New Orleans and traces a path through the city’s history. Friends of Bayou St. John connects people to this unique natural and cultural resource.

Friends of Bayou St. John produces Bayou Boogaloo, a three-day music festival featuring more than 300 musicians that celebrates Louisiana culture, generates opportunities within our communities, and connects businesses to an ever expanding audience. We are also committed to the ecological preservation of Bayou St. John.
